About HBRC
Collaboration with International Research Institutions
Unlike many other academic centers, the Humanistic Buddhist Research Centre (HBRC) at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is dedicated not only to the study of Buddhism as a significant field but also to fostering global academic exchange in Buddhist studies. By establishing connections with international research institutions, HBRC aims to broaden the scope of Buddhist scholarship, particularly in South Asia, through interdisciplinary and comparative studies.
Building Shared Academic Resources
HBRC is committed to developing a collaborative academic environment by inviting international scholars, engaging local graduate students, publishing research journals and books in partnership with global institutions, and organizing conferences and seminars. These initiatives help strengthen Buddhist studies at QAU while fostering meaningful academic interactions beyond national boundaries.
Attracting International Scholars and Students
To promote Buddhist research at QAU, HBRC actively encourages international graduate students and scholars to engage in studies related to South Asian Buddhism and Humanistic Buddhism. Through academic exchanges, research programs, and collaborative projects, the center provides opportunities for scholars worldwide to contribute to and benefit from its growing academic network.
Advancing Buddhist Research at QAU
HBRC is dedicated to enhancing research in Buddhism by integrating perspectives from the humanities, social sciences, and Buddhist philosophy. Through its academic initiatives, the center seeks to deepen the understanding of Buddhist traditions, particularly in the context of South Asia, and establish QAU as a leading hub for Buddhist studies in the region.
